What We Clean and How
Duplicate Detection & Removal
We run both exact-match and fuzzy deduplication across your dataset, using Jaro-Winkler and Levenshtein distance scoring to catch near-matches like "J Smith" and "John Smith" appearing at the same registered address, which is the kind of thing a spreadsheet formula will never catch on its own. Where duplicates exist, we keep the most complete record rather than just picking whichever one happened to sit higher in the file. Most don't bother doing that.
Data Standardisation
Addresses reformatted to PAF standard. Phone numbers normalised to E.164. Dates to ISO 8601. We handle name casing, salutation inconsistencies, and mismatched field splits, and we apply all of it against your business rules specifically, not whatever generic defaults we feel like using that week. And if your rules conflict with each other in ways you haven't noticed yet, we flag that before touching anything.

Get QuoteValidation & Verification
Get QuoteEmail addresses verified for deliverability via MX record check and SMTP handshake, not just a regex pattern that passes "definitely@notreal.con" without blinking. UK postcodes checked against the Royal Mail PAF file. Company numbers verified against Companies House. Phone numbers validated as live by UK network lookup. Three of our current clients had been mailing to bounced addresses for over a year before sending us their first file.
Get QuoteData Enrichment
We append missing fields from UK business directories and Companies House, things like SIC codes, registered address, director names, employee band, so a record that arrives with only a company name leaves carrying enough detail for proper segmentation or outreach. It's not complicated. You just need the fields to actually be there.
Quality Scoring
Each record gets a score across four dimensions: completeness, accuracy, consistency, and recency. Those score columns come through in your output file so you can filter or prioritise records yourself without waiting on us. We also deliver a summary report showing where quality problems concentrated, whether that's by field, data source, or import date, because knowing the address field is the problem is more useful than knowing five percent of your records are bad.
Ongoing Monitoring
For databases written to regularly, we run scheduled quality checks, weekly or monthly depending on how quickly your data tends to degrade, and flag records that have slipped: bounced emails, defunct companies, postcodes that no longer match the registered address. You get a change report each cycle. Not a full re-clean invoice.
