You want the data, not a tool
You receive the data as a file or a feed. There is no software to learn and no scraper to run.
Is this the right fit?
UK Data Services is a managed web scraping service. We build the scrapers, run them, fix them when websites change, and send you checked data. Nobody on your side writes or runs code. That suits some buyers very well and others not at all, so this page sets out which is which, including when a scraping platform or your own team is the better choice.
A good fit
You receive the data as a file or a feed. There is no software to learn and no scraper to run.
Sites change layout and add bot protection. On a maintained scraper we fix breakages caused by layout changes at no extra charge, so the data keeps arriving.
Our most requested job: your SKUs matched to competitor products and prices in one file. Run it once or on a schedule. See the competitor price snapshot.
Every project starts with a free sample of your agreed fields. A one-site starter extract starts at £150, with the price fixed before work begins.
Extraction follows fixed rules written for each source, with no AI guessing, so the same page gives the same output every time. On managed programmes, every row carries its source URL and capture date.
We are a UK company (No. 08576932), registered with the ICO (ZC152935), and we check each site's terms and robots rules before collecting.
Not a good fit
Zyte, Apify, Bright Data and Oxylabs are built for engineering teams: scraping APIs and proxy networks that you run yourself. If you have people to operate them, a managed service adds a layer you don't need.
The large platforms run global infrastructure at a scale a small UK company does not. For web-scale crawling across many countries, start with them.
Data marketplaces and some platforms sell pre-collected datasets. If one covers your sources and fields, buying it is quicker than commissioning a new collection.
We collect company-level data only. We do not harvest personal emails or phone numbers, and we do not scrape content behind a login.
If the data is what you sell and you will collect it for years, building an in-house team usually pays off. We are better suited to data that feeds decisions, not data that is the business.

The facts
A small UK data extraction company, trading since 2013, with more than 500 projects delivered. On a long-running e-commerce price-monitoring job covering about 12,000 SKUs across 9 retailer sites, measured accuracy is 99.8%. We work under NDA as standard and never name clients in our marketing. For a public example of our work, see the complete dataset of every UK CMA case.
Questions
A service. We build and run the scrapers and send you the data. There is no software for you to install or operate.
Those are platforms for engineering teams: you get APIs, proxies and scrapers to run yourself, priced by usage. We do the running for you and deliver checked data at a fixed quoted price. If you have developers and high volumes, a platform is often the better choice.
A one-site starter extract starts at £150. Maintained scrapers start at £60 a month for monthly refreshes, £120 for weekly and £350 for daily, per site. Larger multi-source programmes are quoted individually after we check the sources. Every project starts with a free sample.
Personal contact details such as individuals' emails and phone numbers, anything behind a login, and sources whose terms we cannot work within. We collect company-level and product-level data.
No. Each scraper follows fixed rules written for its source, so the same page gives the same output every time and any figure can be traced back to where it came from.
Send us the website and the fields you need. We will reply with a free sample and a fixed quote, or tell you plainly if a platform would suit you better.
